1. Purpose
TipsTap is an online service that allows service professionals (waiters, hairdressers, couriers, musicians, etc.) to generate a unique QR code so their customers can leave a tip by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
2. Registration and account
Registration is free. The user agrees to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of their credentials. Identity verification (KYC) is performed by our payment provider Stripe before any payout.
3. Pricing
Use of TipsTap is free. A 10 % commission is taken on each tip received, automatically deducted before payout. No subscription, no hidden fees.
4. Payouts
- Funds are collected and paid out by Stripe to the bank account (IBAN) provided by the user during onboarding.
- Payouts occur on the 1st and 15th of each month (subject to bank working days). Funds typically arrive within 1 to 3 days.
- The user is solely responsible for tax declaration of amounts received, in accordance with Belgian legislation (or that of their country of residence).
5. User obligations
- Use the service fairly and in accordance with the law.
- Not attempt to circumvent commissions or defraud the system.
- Not use TipsTap to collect other types of payments (sale of goods/services, donations, etc.).
6. Termination
The user may close their account at any time from their dashboard. Pending funds will be transferred to the IBAN provided within 14 days following closure.
7. Liability
TipsTap implements reasonable means to guarantee the availability and security of the service, without however being able to guarantee a total absence of interruption. TipsTap's liability cannot be invoked for unavailability related to Stripe or third-party infrastructure.
8. Applicable law
These terms are subject to Belgian law. Any dispute falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Namur, except for contrary legal provisions applicable to the consumer.
9. Modifications
TipsTap reserves the right to modify these terms. Users will be notified by email at least 30 days before any substantial modification takes effect.
